Take Yourself Away to a True Coastal Paradise

Everybody has heard about the Bahamas, an idyllic spot often described as true paradise on earth. It is no surprise, therefore, that many people consider a Bahamas yacht charter for a holiday or vacation. It enables them to enjoy the natural beauty and crystal clear waters, the white sandy beaches, and the fantastic vibe experienced in the small fishing villages and towns. Getting bored in the Bahamas is quite literally impossible. Whether you want to dive, swim, snorkel, float, walk, run, hike, cycle, or just sit and do nothing, it is all possible.

Of course, being a group of islands, a lot of the Bahamas’ charm is down to its water sports. However, after a long night of swimming or diving or sunbathing, people also want to relax. There are lots of cafes, pubs, bars, and restaurants to choose from. And for those who want to be a bit more relaxed, there are even virgin beaches and deserted islands to go to. These are particularly easy to reach if you have chartered a yacht. Indeed, when you charter a yacht, you can plan to visit quite a few of the islands. Let’s take a look at some of the places that really shouldn’t be missed.

The Exumas Islands

If you want to see natural beauty, this is the place to go. There are cays and natural harbors, as well as amazing secluded beaches. There is also a lot to do, such as diving, wind surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, and more. Of course, simply sitting on the beach to watch the waves is equally wonderful.

Nassau

Nassau is the capital island of the Bahamas, reminiscent of Dutch colonial times. It is a really vibrant area with lots of energy. Markets are awash with colors, you can shop until you drop, and the architecture is a feast for the eyes. Best of all, the beaches are like nothing you have ever seen before.

Paradise Island

Paradise Island is exactly as the name describes it, particularly if you like casinos and resorts. The Atlantis resort is truly amazing with its private beaches, artificial lagoon, and casino. And if that gets a bit too much for you, you can relax a little in Marina Village instead.

Shroud Cay

Shroud Cay is truly special. Essentially, it is a group of little cays, connected by creeks. Waterways surround each of the cays, and you can only see this if you have a yacht or boat.

Wardick Wells

This is the place to go if you are a nature lover. There is lots of native flora and fauna to enjoy here, and it is the perfect place for hikers. In fact, lots of trails have been set up for you to follow. And if you want to stay near your yacht, you will be happy to hear that the snorkeling experience is fantastic around here.

There are literally hundreds of islands in the Bahamas and it would be nearly impossible to see them all. It would be equally impossible to decide which one is the most beautiful or the most special. You will just have to hire yachts again and again to keep on exploring!
